Bingley Baths

More and more local authorities are looking at the potential to transfer facilities into community ownership and this is an area where The Sport Business has significant experience. bingley baths

We are delighted to have recently initiated work for the Friends of Bingley Baths, a local charity which is working in partnership with Bradford Town Council to take over the management of the local Baths as the council consolidates its stock.

The Sport Business is carrying out a feasibility study for the takeover which will include five-year business planning and financial planning as well as the identification of capital and revenue funding for strategic investments.  The study will also set out the practical actions for the group towards the takeover.

Funding Win For Sports Event

The Sport Business has been awarded funding to deliver a ‘Sports & Wellbeing’ event for primary school children following a public vote in Altrincham.

Ten community groups were vying for funding from Trafford Partnership and all had to campaign for votes at an event in Goose Green. Several schools in the area have now been invited to take part in the day which will give children the chance to learn about nutrition and healthy lifestyles.

The Sport Business recently staged an event at York University for children from across Yorkshire and will now host a similar activity day following the funding award.
